Plug Kit with Quick-Disconnect
Currently the OEM plug connector for the Tundra TRD Pro fender flare LED markers are not available for purchase from Toyota therefore the wiring setup requires a bit of Frankenstein-ing. We wanted to come up with an easy plug-and-play solution to avoid any messy wiring situations.
We designed the OEM plug connector ground-up via CAD with exact dimensions. Keeping it weatherproof and retaining the clip functionality was a must as well. Our solution was to simply design a housing solution for 2-pin Dupont connectors. We used 18 AWG wires and created a the pigtail exit holes 0.25mm smaller than the diameter of the wire to create a pressure seal. The design also includes an exact fit for a nitrile rubber o-ring gasket at the connector seal.
